You guys are finally underscoring what I've been trying to say. A big part of the REDDI's tone has to do with solid state components, and not just a single tube. But when these comparisons are made, the end results always seem to be that a bunch of people say "Tubes sound way better than SS" as if that's the whole reason a product does what it does. The transformer in the REDDI is as much responsible for it's tone as anything else inside the box. I dare say it's more important, but at least the synergy with all the components is what makes something sound good or bad in the end. I just don't like boiling things down to tube vs solid state as the industry clearly has products that are fantastic and cross stereotypes in both categories.
