REDDI versus JDI shootout

Nope, same take.

JDI = clip 1

REDDI = clip 2

Very subtle differences to me. The REDDI has a bit more "bite" to it, a tiny bit thicker and more aggressive. It feels/responds a bit better too, to me.

I really like the REDDI, but it really is the last 1% tone wise... very high diminishing returns at this point IMO. I'll probably be keeping it, but it makes you think.

I'll try to post up some passive bass clips in the future, but it might take a month or two. Difference might be more apparent then (complete conjecture though... I've never used a passive bass with either of them).

Nice. If you have an active bass and are looking for a DI for live performance (and want a reasonably accurate representation of your instruments signal), there is VERY little reason to buy anything but a JDI... simply the best DI for active basses regarding quality, tone, size, price, reliability, etc.

Amazing DI.


Things get a little more complicated with passive basses.
