Rejoice B:Assmaster Fans!

I finally received one today and gave it an initial maiden voyage. This pedal is AWESOME! It has the familiar tone of my B:Assmaster with my favorite setting (both switches left), but seems to have bit more heft to it. It sounds a bit like a hybrid between my B:Assmaster and my Depth Charge and has the best of both worlds: the Depth Charge's heft coupled with the saturation of the B:Assmaster.

Vegas is a HAPPY boy! :D

awesome - i'm really keen on getting hold on one of these to go with my tall font russian and oxfuzz... sounds like it'll add something different :)

any idea if these are a limited run, or likely to be around for a while? some of the malekko pedals seem to not stay in production for long.

As far as I know, it's part of the production line. In some ways, it's more user friendly than my B:Assmaster and definitely different enough to have both (for me). I'm going to spend more time with it, but I'm pretty sure my Depth Charge has been dethroned.

Got mine today asw ell and I agree, they nailed it. Pumped to take this to rehearsal tomorrow.

Well the one clip they have of it makes it sound mean as hell. But in the clip it doesn't seem like a low end monster, just a really bizarre and mean sound. Maybe the clip doesn't do it justice? Don't get me wrong, I like the sound of it, it's weird and mean, but I want that bass, son.

Hmm. I think I'm going to keep this high on my list. Also on my mind is the Amptweaker Bass Tight Fuzz. And I'm curious to hear what the Darkglass Duality Fuzz is going to do. I'd also be open to getting something from Black Arts Toneworks.

I did have a problem squeezing in the full size pedal. So, the smaller real estate is definitely something I can get behind.

Since you own both, do you ever feel yourself reaching to tweak the switches that aren't on the Diabolik? I imagine it wouldn't directly replace the B:assmaster, but do you feel like they are dissimilar enough to run both on a pedal board at once?
