I do. I run it together with a sunn 215. The sound loosens every screw in the room.

Reliable solid state heads with plenty of power

After a few weeks of rehearsing and playing shows I'd like to share my experience. First of all: the GK 1001RB-II is AWESOME. I've sold most of my vintage heads and do now own three 1001s. I've started with one head. I punished the amp at 4 ohms with a low tuning. The amp went into thermal shutdown after approx. 90 minutes. No surprise because of that treatment. I bought a second one as a slave. Man, what a deep dub tone!!! I love the clean power! The third amp was bought for world domination purposes. Again thank you all for your wisdom and advice!
Young man, you're a man after my heart! I'm an old guy who also thrives for World Domination with an amp setup that would make John Entwistle proud. Keep up the good work!
And I'm glad you're digging the 1001RBs. They're a completely sick amp!
Kinda late. but the Fender Bassman 1200 Pro, the Fender 800 Pro & the Fender TB-1200, are some really good amps 800 Watts RMS, into 4 ohms and 1200 watts RMS, into 2 Ohms, all 3 amps have the same power section, and they are lead sleds, but very good lead sleds, still have the Fender 800 Pro, below are some views of the 1200 Pro & 800

Could be just me; but, for what the OP is doing, I would have gone with some choice of racked power amp, and feed it with preamp of choice.
Why?
Well, first, power amps satisfy cheap and plenty of power. Most are pretty gorilla handling friendly once racked. And, they are readily available in most major towns if something goes wrong; which, since they are designed for pro audio usually won’t.
Second, there are a gazillion preamp choices these days, including a bunch of less expensive excellent sounding and practical boxes that go right on the pedal board or mic stand. Or, if one is really beholden to a sound, just separately rack mount something more substantive.
Of course, YMMV.

Congratulations and great pick with the GK. Just saw this thread and would've suggested GK and Carvin for durability and brute power. I've owned both (among many others but not quite as many as some on this thread) and wouldn't hesitate to get a GK or Carvin amp (used or new). Well, I guess you can only buy used Carvins now.....
