remember this young drummer for future reference ...and avoidance

Hahaha... reminds me of a drummer I briefly played with, albeit with this guy being extra extra and mine being just a bit sadly unable to hold firm for a full phrase.

He had decent time until he tried a fill.... and evidently liked to hit the "RANDOMIZE" button every one to two bars. Thus, pretty terrible time most of the time.

We talked to him about toning down the "fills", and his response: "okay so, you want me to just play the same thing over and over again?"

Somewhere between that and him being fired there was a "that's boring" snuck in.

THIS IS A TRUE STORY. HE GOT SPONSORED BY A DRUM ACCESSORIES COMPANY.

He did have one slow hard rock pattern he was good at. We knew that because he warmed up with it and tried to play it on every song. Also a true story.

This guy(?) destroys him. 1:00 mark.

1) Holy shaging poopie

2) Japan's local music scenes are something else entirely. This guy had a thrash metal drum segment on a festival pop tune and the audience loved it. Looking up Nyango Star, I see he was in fact the ..... .......................... ....

..star of the show.

I'd play a gig with that cat.
