He's still much loved in Dublin(his hometown). Every year Slattery's holds the "Vibe for Philo" were a whole bunch of local bands get together and play some TL tunes and generally just celebrate the man. (At least they still were 5 years ago.)

Yeah, they still do the annual Vibes for Philo. Phil's mom generally attends and loves meeting fans. I need to get over there one day.

when i went to Dublin i had the chance to visit his tomb.

a great bass player and singer and even greater songwriter.

A pint of ale for Phil, an excellent songwriter,and always the perfect melodic bass player, Sometimes we lose sight of the song for the sake of flash,Less wanking is a good thing,Think about how often you here a lizzy song,, good songs last forever. Don't mean to preach. Cheers to Phil and all the GREAT axemen he worked with.
