Remote Switch for Peavey Mark IV Head (help-DIY)

I have a Peavey Mark IV head that never came with the Remote Switch. I would like to build my own.

The connection to the amp is a DIN (see pic) and when pulled out only has 2 wires connected, as well as 2 pins jumped. (see pic).

Does anybody have one that you wouldn't mind opening up and snapping a pic for me?

or

Can someone please help me with a the wiring?

I'm pretty sure the functions are: Switch 1 (channel A on/off) Switch 2 (channel B on/off)

Resurrect that one_month_old thread-.
How it ended and how much Did You paY?

I have still My First Head :mark IV head..and the footswitch got stolen 14 years ago(along with half of my stuff ,the first thingsi did Buy with My Own money ,perhaps).

I Don't recall the NAMe of the footswitch to catch it on ebay, also

Hmm, it was a pretty simple operation. The switching was a channel select on one switch, and activating "Automix" on the other switch. "Automix" was simply using both channels at the same time. If you plug into the Automix input the foot switch allowed you to select either channel (one had passive EQ, the other had active with semi-parametric mid EQ called "Para-mid"). Stomping the Automix button routed the signal to both channels.

JTE,
Do You mean th. You Buit one for Yourself?

i could ask a electric shop maybe to do what You did .

I'm not using the amp
In that period,
115$ Is a bit high cosidering the cost of the entire amp at those days.

Nah, I didn't make one myself, but I fixe mine a couple of times. The POS DIN plug was a pretty flimsy device in my estimateion, and the cable Peavey used didn't have good strain releif on it. I had to resolder mine a few times. But looking at the picture it looks like there 's only two wires. I'm betting that all the two switches did was to ground either of the wires. I'd replace the DIN plug with a T/R/S jack, and get a new foot switch that uses a 1/4" TRS plug. That should do it. Test it by shorting the each of the wires to ground to see if they switch correctly. If so it'd be an easy fix and lot less expensive than $110.

Hi people. I'm new to the forum. To be honest I'm more of a guitar than a bassman but I love amplifiers and the bass amps give me that extra oemph for my rhythm play. Today I have a SS Vox foundation bass which is an awesome amp with a Gibson SG. I recently got a Peavey mark 4 bass head as a chassis and it was badly canibalized. I got most working again but I need to know the connections on the pre amp circuit board that go to the (DIN) channel switch socket. I also assume either wire will be connected to ground when switched. Can somebody help me out.

Thanks,
Charlie
