Removing BAII from a Geddy Lee

I dont use the bridge pickup too much (just for a little growl when I want), so its not a big deal. Had I not stumbled on the TI's I probably would still have rounds on it... the combo was a nice discovery for me. I do the opposite of what most people do which is flats on the P/ rounds on the Jazz

My other jazz usually wears flats most of the time, Fender 9050's. My Fretless P has Labella 50-109's.

The jazz right now has some EB's. I'm going to swap sets, and put the labella's on my standard, and the EB's on the fretless.

I wonder if I would be better off getting a Fender Classic '70s Jazz bass and replacing the neck on it with a Geddy Lee neck? That would be a lot cheaper (depending on the price of a Geddy Lee neck) than getting the GL.

Does anyone know if a GL neck will fit on the '70s jazz (the MIM version)?

If you take that route, please PM me. I'll take that fat Classic 70's bound-and-blocked neck off your hands so you can finance the Geddy neck. I would have got one of the 70s Classics if not for the limited black or burst color choices.
