Repeated failed login attempts

I just received about a dozen eMails informing me that there were failed login attempts on my account. Of course I have changed my password. I am probably not the only one who has or will experience this.


Just received two more!

"The person trying to log into your account had the following IP address: 91.207.6.74"

we will look into this, but have received no other similar complaints as of yet. We'll investigate and most likely block that ip address

I am still receiving these notifications, two to three a minute, every minute.

it's important to understand these requests are not being made by talkbass, but by a third party trying to access talkbass using your account details which they must have obtained somewhere.

After researching, the ip address it is coming from is a well known malware site:

[Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

I'd suggest you do a VERY thorough malware check on your computer. We will start process to block access to TB from that IP address, but it may take some time to go into effect.

It seems to have stopped, after 145 messages, thanks.

what we can do is change the email address associated with your account, temporarily, until this is resolved, so that you stop receiving the flood of email notices.

please continue to maintain contact via the helpdesk, so that we can inform you when we have the offending ip address blocked.
