replace my Pb classic vibe 60 pups:real upgrade?

hrllo everybody

I have a fender precision classic vibe 60 ,i never played with amp or in recording mode ,but today i record a little with an mbox 1 and compare with my strat us ,notices a small lack of definition,perhaps its the Mbox which is not the top for recording or
do you think it will really upgrade the definition if i replace the pups with ri 62 or sd sb1,or other stuff?
