Replace speaker Rumble 40

I was wondering if Celestion Pulse 10 would be a good replacement for stock "special design" speaker. Would it change the dynamics i.e. tuning of cab detrimentally. A buddy of mine changed speaker in his and got better sound quality but also got an annoying buzz when playing a F# note. Only F# low e, 4th fret d string, 6th fret a string and so on. Could not adjust controls to eliminate it but narrowed it down to just 2nd fret E string after changing some settings. Would this happen if I change or is it something else not speaker. Newby here so curious to know.

Absolutely it will change the tuning of the speaker as a system. Will it be better? Maybe. Will it be worse? Maybe.

It it's working properly, my recommendation is to leave it alone. Some time practicing and spend that money if a couple of lessons. That's the best upgrade money can buy IME.

I swapped the stock speaker with the Celestion Pulse 10 and it sounds great. Seems like it's a bit louder. Buddy give me the speaker because of buzzing problem, but works fine for me.

My advice would be to follow Aged Horse's advice.
Replacing with a Celestion and getting a loud buzzing noise isn't really better sound quality, IMO.

This. The stock speaker is a bit muddy sounding, but can be easily eq-ed. Just dial down the low mids a bit.

Could be, and the owner should check for loose screws, joints, or leaks.

I found no reason to replace the speaker out of my Rumble 40. Matter of fact, I did exactly what Agedhorse suggested. Best present to myself that future me will thank me for!

Just in case nobody actually read my 2nd post. I was given the speaker because my buddy had a buzz problem. I asked about replacing stock with celestion. I went ahead and swapped them. The Celestion speaker works just fine for me no buzzing nothing causing problems I did say it sounded louder but not by much and it's working just great. Probably could be fine tuned but so could the original configuration. Anyways I'll keep it unless my buddy wants it back.
