... replaced my HT310 speakers !

First of all BIG thanks to David for generously sharing his speaker swap info
and making it look so easy.
Also for the feedback on how it sounds.
... your welcome !!

Speakers are in, but I will have to wait for a full out test until tomorrow.
... well , we're waiting ... :D

Thanks Joshua, I read that thread when it was active. I am wondering if my cab would get along better with my Thunderfunk and AI heads if I did this. Right now, I'm not getting the thickness I need. Both of these heads are kind of mid heavy.

I have read that the "apparent" or "perceived" low end is improved. Does this mean that the mids and high mids are actually smoothed out a bit so it sounds thicker? I know I am projecting what I want into this but maybe someone could shed some light on the subtleties.

I believe that these are the 250 drivers that were used in later HT210's (the ones with the 500w power rating), versus the 200w drivers originally used in the HT210 and used in the HT310.

Tom.

I have an older 400w HT210 and was wondering if anyone has replaced the drivers in their HT210 with the newer drivers that Jim is recommending? Would appreciate any feedback as to what one could expect with regards to this cab. I've never heard the 500w rated HT210. Thanks.
