replacing input on my GK700RB-ii amp

ok so i need to replace the input on my GK 700rbii, the input still works on the amp, only thing is the plastic thread that held the nut in place infront of the faceplate has broken off(i just don't feel secure about the connection)....

i got the part in from GK earlier today....and was wondering how hard of a replacement it would be.....the amp repair guys quoted me around $60-$80 for what seems to be 4 solders....well that and having to disassemble the amp itself and putting it back together again....has anyone actually done this with any GK rb series amp? The parts just staring right at me and i am pretty handy with a soldering iron....

And not destroy pcb traces, test the amp after repair....
Darn techs are trying to make a living off amps that come in for repair :scowl: How dare they! ;)
It's not real hard, easy to mess up doing it. Give it a try if you believe yourself to be handy? :)

Gotcha...Hmmmm...well it sounds like ill be just taking her in to a tech...I really can't afford to chance breaking anything..wish there was a place that repaired amps that issued "loaner amps" with only requiring a refundable security deposit..that'd be a good business voucher for gigging musicians
