Resurrection Thread- Anyone own only ONE bass?

I have a couple, Stringray 5, upright, G&L sb2 fretless, and a 62 Eb-O. The fretless needs some rehab, and the gibson is three states away sooo i essentially just use the stingray and the upright which is honestly cool with me. Id sell the fretless, maybe I will after the rehab, its a pretty sweet bass from the mid 80s that i got for a steal. the Gibson was my fathers so thats not going anywhere. so as far as what i actually play out with any sort of regularity (a few times a week) is the stingray or the upright depending on the gig.

So I noticed 3 years ago someone asked this so I figured with COVID and all thats happened since then, why not ask again. So if you only own one bass and are happy, whatcha got?

I currently own 2 basses. But since COVID-19, I have a 5 string I bought pre Covid, and am seriously considering selling it as I don’t tend to play music that requires one. Which would leave me very happy with just my MIA Fender PJ.

With the prices of used basses going up, it’s looking like I could clear enough out of my 5 string to by a Mesa WD800 or the TTI which I could get usage out of my investment.

Gotta have 2, but posting because 2 is probably as close to 1 that we’ll typically see on TB. Never had an “arsenal”: 1-2 is all I ever had at a time, and the 2nd was never used much. Until now. I really wanted one for ol’ time thump, and one to learn slap. Otherwise, I would have only one.

Sire P7 5-string, with La Bella 760FL-B, and Yamaha TRBX304 with D’Addario EXL165.

Very happy with both, though I don’t gig (played parties and church folk when younger). Hoping to find some jams in future, after I get my “chops” back, and ‘Rona tames a bit more.
