Really cool. Color me curious. But I won’t be early since it’s been so long but definitely curious to see what actually becomes a shippable product.

They look great. I imagine the price combined with the low wattage rating will deter some (before i get dogpiled, yes, I realise watts don’t equal volume!)

That should be interesting. The 100w head is $799 vs $699 for the preamp. The 100w head is significantly cheaper than the Hilbish Beta head, so I’m curious how they will compare.

Also, built in HPF at 65 Hz might annoy some down-tuned doom folks.

Where can I use a 100w head? My music room?

I'm sure bigger rigs are coming (?), but these Sunns are going to be one more old name revived with a completely new company and designs. Whether the market decides if they really are a righteous follow-on to the old rigs will have to play out over time.

I wasn't aware he passed away. That's too bad. I guess Fender is doing a Pantera. The Beta isn't priced much higher than an old used one, though.

Yeah, even an SVT CL will only set you back $2199 and it's a full-on 300w.

Right! You have to really want an Sunn. Granted the Sunn products are US made, but that’s still steep!

Going by that, I expect the Model T to be something like $5749.31.

I knew I used the wrong emoji ... I was really only joking. I don't think Conrad had anything to do with anything branded "Sunn" since '72. However, I do think, if it were necessary, that a company could have a product launch and marketing plan on 'standby' waiting for a specific event, like the passing of someone who had some contractual exclusivity. Again, I don't think this is what happened here... I was just interested in the plausibly(?) causal sequence of events.
