Returning to the bass after 30 + years

Hi everybody,
Hi Peter. 30 years?

Everything has changed and nothing has changed. P basses still rule and have been joined by many other great instruments. You won't believe how amps and cabs have improved out of all recognition.

Don't plan on keeping your first bass forever. You'll progress and out grow most instruments in your first year or so. I'd start with a Precision, Jazz or Music Man. A good used item will be best for your budget and loose you less when you upgrade.

A 50 watt combo would start you off but plan to upgrade when you want to rehearse with other musicians.

Find a good teacher, progress, enjoy and good luck.
