Reunion Blues Leather Strap

Greetings, I recently picked up a vintage bass that came with this reunion blues, leather strap. Got to say, I like it a lot!

I see nothing about them online, and assume that they are no longer made - are they very hard to find? Any info appreciated.

I had a few of the Glenn C straps when they first started making them a few years ago. Sadly not as good as the originals (stitching patterns too sharp/angular, and the material frays way more than my originals!).

I'm a big fan of these original RB straps. Let me know if you ever want to sell! I'll buy!

I recently bought one as a backup for the strap above. Unfortunately I have to disagree about the quality. Still nice, but not like the original.

I don’t know anything about their straps (I’ve had a couple of their gig bags that I really like), but that one is a prefect match for that bass.

years ago i had 2 of thier straps, one black and one brown. back then it was the only heavy duty strap i could find that matched the quality of my Smith bt5 in the 90's. when i got rid of the bass, i gave that strap to my friend and he still has it. it was quite different than this one and it was beautiful. I had belt buckles to make adjustments and looked awesome. I think i paid about $100 for each back then which is quite expensive for those times. I still think about that strap and always come back to their site to see if the started making them again, only to be disappointed. I'm still on the search for something similar and can't find anything remotely similar. I'm actually thinking about getting the strap back from my friend.

That is an absolute treasure. I haven't seen one in ages.

Back in the day, they were all I used. The quality was extremely high, and often, the way they were padded made virtually any heavy bass a lot easier to live with. Lots of things discontinued in the Muzik Bidniss over time, but then RB went out of the strap business (and I couldn't buy them anymore) was a VERY sad day. In those days, most anything Reunion Blues was as good as money could buy, and then some.

I would recondition it like any good leather piece with some age, and don't even think of selling it. Treasure it, because nobody makes anything like them today.
