I popped into Hotrox in Nottingham on Friday , had a bit of a quiz. They have the largest selection of pedals in the uk!! I only had about twenty minutes as I had to get off to a soundcheck. The guy told me about a couple but I have about twenty dates this month in Nottingham so will go earlier one day next week.
Short version without having actually tried any was that for the price the hall of fame is true bypass and sounds great . He had many pedals he could have pushed me towards that were more expensive include a few ehx but hall of fame apparently stands its ground when being used outside o the bedroom. That said he did show me one that costs about 400 and said it is simply the best thing in his store. Can't remember what it was called but will do a test and report back ASAP .
I shall also be trying out some phasers , Flanders and a couple of moogerfoogers if anyone wants my opinion on them.
Upon the above statement, I myself have not yet tried or heard them and sadly not everyone is either a good player or would attack a pedal in the same way as another person even on the same settings. I can't help with the second part but I like to think I can play a little. Will leave feedback soon
. The pedal that costs around 400 is more than reverb. It is according to sales rep "capable of incredibly far out sounds, great for square pusher and the likes as well as all the usual .
