i finally got a Shecter 004 after years of coveting it. I love how they play... i can get the action so low, too low, in-fact, for my style. And the looks are stunning. as for the tone i am not such a fan. back when i first played it i did not think much about the tone and now it has been years since i played one so when i finally found a used one i snatched it up and gave no mind to the sound. now that i have it i am going to change out the electronics completly because frankly they suck.
i am having Nordstrand make their dual coil (DC) pickups to fit under the soapbar covers (thankyou Nordstrand for making the greatest pickups!!! i have big splits in my main bass and that thing is a monster!!!!) as for the electronics i am taking out the activeness and replacing everything and going only passive.
here is what i need help with:
the DC pups will have the 4 leads so that i can do single series and parallel for each pup. i want to keep with the same look as it has now so i will need 3 rotary switches. 2 with 4 options (single/series/parallel/bypass for each pup) and one 2 way (series/parallel between the 2 pups) then there will be one master volume.
can anyone draw me up a diagram for this? i am ordering the pickups tomorrow and am eager to get this going!
thanx for your time!
Jason
