Rex Brown new spector bass??

I got to say I love the 'Paul' style. These are my current crop:
GMP Roxie Hamer B12A & Waterstone TP-8M

A couple that have gone:
Hamer B8A & Warmoth Custom Tele

The New December issue of BP arrived. Short page with Rex (p.16).
The bass has name now... Spector RXT.
He says it will debut at NAMM.

I must say, I'm disappointed.
Rex calls this a "Telecaster Bass".
I think we all know that the accepted concept of a Telecaster "Bass" is the "Telecaster Bass" that Fender produced in the 60's/70's.
This thing is the accepted shape of the Telecaster guitar.

Too bad. I was hoping for a Spector made Telecaster bass.

Just asked pj about the possibility of this being a professional series production bass : he said no plans for it yet , but it's possible . Also said not the time of year that they discuss future models .


Maybe if enough emails come in showing interest in this being a sub 1k bass they will make some .

I think on Pg. 1 I'd indicated I'd get it, and almost a year later now, I do indeed haz!

Also, per what I was told, this was actually supposed to be Rex's backup for his proto RXT, but since it was offered FS in a roundabout way and I was kinda on the list for the first production one and with RSB being such a Spector fanboi they gave it to me and are having to make him another one.

A nobody basser from Alabama and PJ has treated me like a endorsed artist for years ! He knows I only play spectors live , and have been for over ten years now . First class all the way when you email
, call , or buy a Spector product !

Definitely dude. They've really upped their internet presence with having JPS onboard and really pushing the brand via the Spector Megathread, etc. and all the YT videos, FINALLY updating the website, etc..

It's a great time to be a Spector honk!
