Ric Strings?

I just got a new Rickenbacker 4003 yesterday and I want to change the strings. What do you guys recommend? I want to go flatwound and Nickel. But any suggestions, weather flot or round, or any other metal, will be appreciated.

As in, brand new bass, with brand new strings? Why change them, Ric strings are aweasome, and well suited to the bass. I actually buy their strings online, and use them exclusively. However, I've had lots-o-Rics, and lots of different strings sound good on a Ric. For flats, I've always favored Roto Jazz Flats, (77's) You get the flat feel and vibe, but they're brighter than most other flats. Good strings. Also, Slinky's are good strings, just watch the gauges, and try to stick with what Ric uses, lest ye need to adjust truss rods and worse, the bridge. Alot of Ric nuts swear by the TI flats, I've never tried them. Have fun with your bass, and be sure not to go crazy with the gauge differences.
