SO, can someone explain to me why the Rick Roll thing is funny? Not the clip the OP posted, in general: The whole trend. How did it come to be, there has to be some back story of why this is suppose to be funny.
That would be like explaining why one likes bass or omelettes or getting hit in the head w/a large cast-iron skillet- if you can't understand then I can't explain.

I just don't get why it's suppose to be funny. I know jokes are a lot less funny if they are explained, but I'd like an explanation of why sending someone to that video is suppose to be funny.
When the song was popular and on the radio, my family didn't have cable or MTV, so I was surprised to see the guy was a skinny redhead.
