Bought this beautiful Yellow Rick 4 years ago from Guitar Center which means i overpaid for it i'm sure. Perfect shape. Too heavy. I love the look but im almost 60 so i have been playing wooden basses and just bought a Mustang Fender which helps!! We are more acoustic anyway. Half my buddies tell me to hang on to this Rick for 20 more years because it will be worth tons.

1. Ideas? Is this Bass good?
2. Anyone U.S. dying to own this bass? By dying i dont mean im going to try and sell it for 5k but i paid over $1600. Still...if the right deal is there im happy to look at anything? Guitar trades too?

You need to be a paying member to sell or ask about prices. I will say that since your about my age, you are getting to the point where you probably don’t want to plan on keeping anything twenty more years. If you like the bass, keep it. If not, then sell it.

Thank you...dont know how to become a paying member or that was an option...ill do that right now.

I have the 3000 series short scale version and I love the sound. The likes of the Arctics, Franz Ferdinand, Mani from Stone Roses made them very marketable but whether the price will keep moving north is anyones guess. I paid £1,500 for mine earlier this year, but they are so rare. I'd keep it, FWIW.
