Rickenbacker 4000

I play my 4003 on the bridge pickup only most of the time.

That pup is quite amazing soloed...I run my 4003(and my 4001) with both pups full on volume and tone dimed most of the time...usually making adjustments with the volume controls for tone changes(almost never use tone controls) and hand placement...but there is a certain something when using just the bridge pup...very "tight" sound..

I love how Ric's get called a "one trick pony"...the 4000 with it's single pup should really be a OTP but, again,the videos here prove otherwise....

What gets me is that a 4000 would be called a OTP, but P Bass is not.

My 4000 has two VERY different personalities depending on whether it's strung with flats or roundwounds.

Yeah. If the P-bass isn't a one trick pony, than no other single pickup bass is, let alone basses with two pickups.
