Rickenbacker 4003 at Guitar Center

Hello everyone. After years of waiting I'm going to buy myself a Rickenbacker 4003. :) The problem is, I live in Europe and have no music stores with Ricks near me. :(
But my friend (who is a really good bassist) is going to USA with his band and he will get a bass there for me.

Now, my question is are there Ricks in the Guitar Center stores for my friend to try out? (I heard that you have to order a Rick and they'll send it to the store in a day or two) And can you please recommend me any other good music shops that sell Ricks?

Thanks! :)

From what I understand, certain ("Platinum") Guitar Centers have begun to stock Ricks. Don't know what a "Platinum" GC is, but neither of the ones here are. All Sam Ash stores can have Ricks, though; they're probably most likely to have what you want. The one here has 3 4003s at the moment.

I'm the guitar manager at a music store called Sam Ash Music in Chicago. If you message me and send him my way I can get him a 4003 at a great price.

If you're buying a new Ric in the US there are two places to do it. Pick of the Ricks and Wildwood Guitars. Both of them are basically untouchable when it comes to price, and you WILL get a "good" one, period. I got mine from Pick of the Ricks and couldn't have been happier with the entire purchase.

I'd say that you will PROBABLY get a good one. I got a 4003 from POTR that had issues. Just FYI...
