Rig weight/gigs comparison

While I haven't been with the band a full year yet, I can say that we've been averaging at least a 2-nighter every 2 weeks.


My Marshall 450h head and 410 cab (built a dolly for this) weigh in at at 57.5 kgs (or 127lbs). I got a Halloween gig and I'm taking my GB neox 212T (60lbs) along with the above. Now add on my two basses, one in a gig bag, one ina hardshell, my Pod XT Live in a gig bag (not really heavy, but another thing to carry), bass stand, mic kit (stand, mic, cable).

Did I mention how much I hate schleping gear I should have continued with my tuba studies while getting my Bach of Mus!

A) 26 pounds (ZL210 @ 23lbs & MB2-500 @ 3lbs)
B) 55-60

That's about 2 gigs/pound!

Schroeder 1210L, 35 lbs, MB F1, 5 lbs. So about 40 lbs. If it's a big gig, I'll sub my Schroeder 410L, 52 lbs, MB F1, 5 lbs. That rig is slamming. I used to play about 80-100 gigs per year, but now there aren't any gigs in the area, every place I used to play was destroyed by Ike. Some will be back up and running next year, I'd like to think I will be, too!
