Seriously, I agree with Howard, that it is a great inspiration to hear totally intuitive players - but, as to Jazz in the UK, I've met a variety of great players - some of whom are very "cerebral" in their approach!!

I don't suppose it's useful or valid to generalise on such a small sample, but it seems quite often, that Jazz piano players/composers are pretty intellectual about the music....?

Sorry, Paul. I had just got home from a grueling recording session last night and probably should've just went straight to bed. I have nothing but respect and admiration for you, sir. I feel MUCH better today.
