RIGS OF DOOM - Ch. 3

I like how the two most important knobs on the Aguilar are "Gain" and "Bass."

OK I had my buddy help me stack up a couple cabs for a photo. I had to leave two of them off because the stack is 6'6" high and 8'3" wide. The other two cabs are off to the side. This picture is crap because I don't have a wide enough angle lens to get it all in the photo, the Jazz and my kid's BC Rich are in ther cases on the floor in front of the cabs.
This pic shows 4 SVT-810E's and 2 SVT-215E's, the amp rack 4 SVT-4PRO's
After stacking these up like this I decided never to do it again. I felt way too unsure of the stack. Putting another set of cabs on top would be very dangerous.
I will have that rack built I was talking about a while ago and stack the cabs two high standing vertically and 4 wide.
Anyway, I wanted to heat up all the cabs so I put the amps in stereo and hooked each cab to a channel. Way to little power. I will need to go back to an amp per speaker. I did heat the six up today and after about 3 notes the wife was bitching saying the house was too small for the volume.
So I didnt even get a real test. Things were good until she got home from AZ about 11:30 AM.. It was just guy fun before that.
OK so, I definately need MORE amplifiers and a taller ceiling, plus a rack to safely lift the upper set of cabs up.
Sorry I couldnt get the whole amp in the frame.

if you have lots of room on stage... why not? haha ..man this band i played with a couple months back had 2x 810s in a small dive bar..
Necessary? Of course it's not necessary, it's just awesome! Hmm, you could play an outdoor gig and have a set on each side of the stage. Personal PA!

She was seriously bitching, so she may have to go. She said I wasnt going to do any of this ever again... Well I was lining up Marshall EL34 100/100's and 1960B's for my kid... That has all ceased.
SO everything is for sale. I have a new hobby and I'm looking for one of these to replace the Big Boomer AMPLIFIER.
Thinking it would go really good in the front yard.

Yes, because the SVT-4 is that overrated in its wattage... you need to be able to play 3 or 4 of them at once to hear yourself

LOL This thread is called "Rigs of Doom" not "Rigs of Mediocrity"! Surely it's all about being extreme? Nothing to do with practicality. Otherwise it would be called "Rigs".
The bigger the rig, the less practical.
I found these graphs in a book by NASA which explain it all perfectly.
It's also a well known fact that a large rig makes you, A: Larger in the "Trouser Department", B: More attractive to women, C: more capable of fathering children, D: Play better, and finally E: Larger in the "Trouser Department" (Yes I know that it was 'A' too, but so marked is the difference it that it's worth mentioning again.)

I bought it to replace a Peavey 2600 (claimed 1300 per ch), which was EXTREMELY heavy and VERY underpowered. It was only marginally louder than the Peavey Decca 400 (200W stereo) which it replaced, but was x4 the weight. An awful amp. ...truly awful. So I went for the lightest, most powerful, and pro amp that I could find.
