ring modulators!

Previously I was playing light OD > Radius > Chorus > distortion, but decided to try the opposite order tonight with distortion in front and OD at the end. The Radius really likes to have other effects going into it, I’m pleased to say. The same hasn’t always been true for other ring mods. Feeding distortion into it really makes the pedal come alive even more, and it retains the tonal essence of chorus being fed into it nicely; CE-2w in CE-1 mode > Radius is a thing of beauty.

The web editor is up
Awesome.. Although I don't use the Rasters web editor except when I want to save a preset(I currently have 50 I think!!)..I'm a hands on knob turning guy.. Couldn't be bothered turning on the laptop every time I use the Raster
Hope the full manual will be out before my Radius arrives,it's part of my ritual when I get a new pedal to read the manual a few times before I put it on the first time and reference etc....
Are you still discovering and enjoying it?.
On a side note I just bought the Boss SY1 synth pedal..It will be interesting pairing that up with the Radius,Raster and my Polymoon for Sci fi Alien soundscapes!!

Finally spent some time with the editor with very positive results. Everything worked flawlessly and I was able to reorganize my presets and change the Aux switch function. I even found a small bug with the pedal that I brought to Red Panda’s attention, but I’ve all but resolved the issue:
When the Aux switch is set to cycle through presets, it gets stuck if you don’t have a present saved to a slot. I had three presets saved but nothing in the fourth slot, and it would always stop on the third preset. The preset button still worked normally.
My workaround was to save another preset in the last slot, and now the Aux switch cycles through like a champ, go figure :wacky:

The Preset Shift option for the Aux switch is nice, it becomes a momentary switch that goes between the next preset slot and the current one.

Here’s a vibe/phaser with kooky LFO behavior. My ring mod presets are classified

Curious where everyone is at with their ring modulating these days. I'm looking to pick one up ASAP, but not sure which route to go.

-I always liked the EHX Frequency Analyzer but the 40v power supply is kind of dumb.
-I love the sound of the MF-102 but I'm not trying to deal with one of those on my board.
-The Red Panda is a little more than I'd like to spend and probably more complicated than I like.

Wondering if I should go for an EHX Ring Thing, the Warm Audio MF-102 clone, or do I take a leap of faith and go for the Fairfield Circuitry Randy's Revenge?

The Ring Thing is a classic and does a lot of cool stuff, keep in mind it needs isolated power. My overall favorite is the Radius, even without using the editor software you have plenty of control and it’s quite intuitive. I’ve always wanted to try a Randy’s Revenge but the Radius meets or exceeds all my needs.
