The Queen of Disco has passed on to the great discotheque in the sky. Beautiful lady, great songs and rhythms. RIP Donna.

I always thought here disco tunes had a lot of musicality in them, and of course she had a great voice too
Very sad; the godmother of all happy dance-time music. Weird thing is, I never thought about how big a part of the soundtrack of my life Donna Summer's music is. RIP
Of course, her early work is among the cream of the crop for that genre.
But I loved some of the later releases, like Another Place and Time, a totally underrated piece of electronic dance music. I wish she had gotten to make one more with Stock, Aitken, Waterman.
Just dug that one out and cranked it in her honor. RIP Donna.

Mike Stock in a SOS interview said that she and Rick Astley were the only proper singers they had in their Hit Factory.
