You probably don't know who Ian Rilen is. He was not even well known here in Australia. His music career was outside the mainstream, but he had a lot of fans and admiration from other musicians.
I first saw him in 1977 playing bass in Rose Tattoo and X (the Australian band, not the American one). He was a great live performer. He was a songwriter as well. He wrote Rose Tattoo's hit 'Bad Boy for Love'. Hunters and Collectors covered his song 'Stuck on You' and The Mark of Cain did a cover of X's 'Dirty Degenerate Boy'.
