We've lost a few great musicians already to this pandemic, but this one hit me hard. Definitely one of my all time favorite songwriters and musicians, and the only performer I can think of who ever brought me to tears of melancholy, and tears of laughter, during a single show.

RIP John. Enjoy that vodka and ginger ale and 9 mile long cigarette in heaven. You've more than earned it.

This is one of my favorite songs of all time, written by Mr. Prine. Jerry Williams Jr.'s (aka Swamp Dogg's) version is my favorite.
