My Mom LOVES this song...she stumbled across it on an American Airlines reel-to-reel tape from the late 60's, which were 3 hour compilation tapes made from several albums of the day, mostly forgotten nowadays. They were played on airline flights but were also sold in record stores at the time (for about $50 a tape even back then).

My Mom was amazed when she found out this song was Spock!!!

Spent the better part of my childhood watching Nimoy and Shatner battling all the scary aliens and evil space marauders. The (Star Trek) show was a bit campy, even for its time, but it just made for more fun.

A very sad day for Trekkies everywhere.

Campy sci-fi is some of the best kind, though, and those guys like Nimoy and the others were masters at it.
