Ozzy Osbourne dies just weeks after farewell show

The heavy metal star reunited with his Black Sabbath bandmates on stage at Villa Park earlier in July.

Ozzy Osbourne passed away today at the age of 76.

He was the front man for Black Sabbath, the founders of heavy metal, and went on to enjoy a hugely successful solo career.

Countless millions of musicians from a wide variety of genres were influenced by his music.

I just saw this as well. Wow. You know it's coming, but it still surprises you when it does.

Pretty shocking announcement considering it was only a few weeks ago he was on stage performing even from a bat themed throne.

Parkinson's is the worst, been through it with more than one family member. And I'd assume in Ozzy's case his years of drug and alcohol abuse didn't help him in any way to deal with that.

He was part of some pivotal music in his time, both in Black Sabbath and a solo artist. I only saw him live once but it was a great show.
