I was never into Black Sabbath or other metal bands. I just didn't like or "get" them. Now I'm old, and they're old, and I totally get it. I even like it.

Ozzy lived a great life and gets much respect from me. I can't imagine how hard it may have been for him to do that last show. RIP.

This one is really sad. Everyone loved Ozzy. And I sure thought he would live forever!

He will be missed.

My first ever gigging band as a senior in high school was the front man for a Black Sabbath cover band. Without Ozzy, I wouldn't have taken the musical path I did.

I'm certain that there are vast numbers of vocalists and other musicians who were massively influenced by Ozzy, not just in Black Sabbath, but by his solo career.

Just look at the long list of famous and supremely talented musicians who collaborated with him.

It feels to me like he went out on his terms, which is great. I hope that is afforded to me as well when the bell tolls for me.
Ozzy and Black Sabbath were my first exposure to the 'dark side'. It scared the living daylights out of me at first, but I couldn't stop listening or looking. I lost track how many times I saw him live.
Thank you sir for the great tunes and even better memories.

Can't forget his stint in prison. His life could have gone a very different way.
