RIP Rob Ford

Antics aside, Toronto lost it's best mayor today. I feel for his family, his wife and his two young kids.
Funny, but in speaking with my neighbours and such, we all agreed that as much as Rob's "lifestyle" was not to our taste, his actions as mayor were appreciated and most of us, would have voted for him again, had he been healthy enough to run form mayor.
RIP Rob, you did what you said you would and to my mind, that puts you head and shoulders above the rest.

I've caught him on few late night talk shows, and I gotta say--I liked this guy. He had his faults, but he made no attempt to cover them up. He was brutally honest; a trait usually absent in people of his profession.

Actually, he denied all the substance abuse allegations until the videos surfaced.

RIP Mr Ford. Prior to today I knew nothing of his having cancer. Him knowing the stage he was in and how far along may have been the reason(s) for his drug use and loose behavior. I hope he is in peace now and truthfully not being in his shoes I won't say I blame him. RIP Mr. Mayor.

I believe he did a lot for our city and tried to stop the corruption in Government.

I am sorry he had addictions....His downfall

But I will always have respect for his work

He should have supported gay pride though
Fighting corruption by attempting to remove oversight positions because one of them is questioning your actions? Obscuring who you meet with despite FOI requests doesn't fight corruption either. Nobody is that anti-press and clean.
