This hurts. I've always been just a casual Foo Fighers fan but Taylor Hawkins was, by all accounts that I've heard, a fantastic human being... to say nothing of a monster drummer. The man will live eternally in the Valhalla of rock 'n roll gods; may his loved ones find peace and comfort in his memory and incredible influence.

RIP Taylor. Seen him perform many times. Was supposed to see him again in May. Tragic.

I had learned a bunch of foo fighters songs on bass in hope to one day have the opportunity to jam with him. Unfortunately my cheesy dream never became reality.

Really a beast on drums and has some really solid pipes. Always seemed like a cool kat from all the interviews I've seen.

Yet another huge loss in the world of Rock N Roll.

incredible drummer he was. I blown away by his playing when I saw the Foos live. Really cool, down-to-earth guy too who didn't have an enormous ego. He lived for music. Such a loss.

Sad. Any news on cause of death?

No cause of death has been announced yet.

His band performed at Lollapalooza Argentina earlier this week and was set to perform in Colombia yesterday.

But organisers of the event announced the band had to cancel the appearance due to a "very serious medical situation."

I saw him in a small club maybe 15 years ago with the Coattail Riders (with Chris Chaney on bass). He talked to everyone after and was incredibly nice.

I'm not sure how the FF will go on after this. Who could fill his throne?

The blip on the news this morning that I was only passively listening to mentioned gun shots. As they were in Columbia, it wouldn’t surprise me if that was the cause.
