Wasn't a big Foo fan, but he loved what he did and did it well. Another star in the night sky..R.I.P Mr. Hawkins.

If he's in the afterlife jamming out with Alexi Laiho (Children of Bodom frontman/guitarist who passed in 2020 at age 41 or so), I'll bet that's the most beautiful thing I'll never get to see/hear. Their insane creativity and joie de vivre while playing will be sorely missed.

incredible drummer he was. I blown away by his playing when I saw the Foos live. Really cool, down-to-earth guy too who didn't have an enormous ego. He lived for music. Such a loss.

Shocking. And, maybe, not so much. I was a late comer to the Foo Fighters but really enjoyed them once I dug in. My favorite song was actually for Taylor.. On The Mend.

What ever the circumstances I hope he found some measure of peace.
