Rituals before gigs and shows?

Two drinks... calms my nerves, but doesn't get me sloppy.
One, still nervous.
Three, edging towards sloppy... plus it'll make me have to hit the little boys room, thus resulting in me involuntary dancing a strange dance until I can rush my gear on stage and bum-rush the bathroom. :hiding:

Also, listening to good music to get me in the mood for the gig (i.e. Ayler for a Free Jazz gig, the Roots for something funky/hip-hoppy, etc.)

-I used to smoke...Now just a pint to get me feelin nice:)
-ummm---Never tune soooo....:hmm:
-I don't go to the bathroom because I actually poop myself on-stage (Part of the act) I love Rock n Roll):bassist:
- I once killed- I MEAN- ..."Sacrificed" ;) a hooker in back of the bar ....... That show didn't go well:rollno: I guess it should have technically been a virgin so... You live you learn, Right?... Right?
J/K

I guess I don't have any since I quit smoking...

On the other hand, I no longer shake, but my mouth dries up before a trumept show. ... It is a horrible destructive thing that makes the situation ten times worse.

Have you tried a dab of vaseline on your tongue before you go on?

Seriously. I'm NOT kidding. I used to do that to prevent dry-mouth when I was doing theatre - it works like a charm. Also, it tastes like butter.

I'd advise not overdoing it, though.
