What is your favorite pedal for robot farts?

I had an IE Subt and it didn't do robot farts very well, but I have a Digitech Dirty Robot on the way that I think will date my desire for proper robot fart sounds.

The SUbT was definitely premium farts.

I have a couple of pedals that can do fart-ish sounds with square waves like the PLL, FreqBox, and Broughctave.

If Squaver came out with a decent P1 demo on bass, maybe I'd jump on that bandwagon. Everything to keep denying myself a FI I guess.

There's on coming out I can't talk about yet but it does some robot farting.

Pretty much any ring mod coupled with an envelope can do that sound.

The Moog Freqbox is probably the big cheese of the robot farts.

The IE SubT is certainly the greater of the cheese. It's undoubtedly my favorite pedal, and achieves some amazing synth sounds with a little help from a few of its friends.

The Boss SY pedals are kinda cheesey, but just don't quite get there. I mean we want hi-grade blasts here.

I guess the Brassmaster and its clones should also be mentioned here because they are a unique fart toan.

Yep, Bitquest does brilliant rofehrts (if you're Luxembourgish). The PLL does its own version, from Hell.

EHX BMS 24V is my go to for Robot Flatulence into an infinite reverb.

Bass press you say! I plugged it in as an expression pedal and haven't looked back. But it expresses itself well when sweeping a f(art)ilter.

OP,
I believe you will be disappointed with Dirty Robot farty sounds. I find this pedal has quite usable sounds. Throw a chorus pedal on the Dirty Robot and you get a lot of synth bass tone 'holy grail' people usually use with dirt/octaver/chorus pedals.
I have the Behringer BSY600 which would be similar to the Boss SYB-3 mentioned above which can get you robot farty sounds.

Into a gated fuzz, this thing is pretty farty.

My Slash Octave Fuzz (with no fuzz on the octave down, both switches on, and all three octaves pretty much at unity or a little above) into my Bassballs (sens at about 10:00) will give me a great "meandering" robot fart when a note is held for awhile.

I keep trying to find an overdive that doesn't sound like robot farts. In my experience, that's is a lifelong quest.

I hated my Subt, but there is a "right" way to sound like a robot fart synth toan

MF FreqBox > MF Ringmod > MF LPF will give you some seriously cool robot farting for sure.
