I resent that To be fair they both use a lot of distortion and strange noises but Buckethead just plays guitar and uses a lot of effects, but often times he just keeps it classic with a tube amp and maybe a wah pedal. He has 250+ albums from the past 2-3 years alone some of which are super relaxing and mellow like Pike 32: Rise Of The Blue Lotus.

To stay on topic if anyone can help me identify all the effects he uses in this live clip I will love you long time:



The envelope filter is obvious but he also uses some crazy self oscillating fuzz or something and a kill switch and who knows what else. Not to mention his technique....

Ah the quest for the "Tinman toots" continues. I once had a Snarling Dogs Moldspore wah when coupled with a boss odb-3 produced some killer rumbles and tones if set right. In general the Molde Spore simply ripped.

I used to run an IE oxide into a filter into a mr black eterna reverb. Sounded like robots farting in a cathedral that is floating in space.

...And if I turned up the shimmer the farts would sound like angels singing.
