That's not really fair ... Huey Lewis is the real deal. He's a real deal blues harp player and can get low down or rock out. Don't hold a few pop hits against him ... man's got to make some money

i need to listen some rock band with a good saxophone, somethings like Morphine or some Gallon Drunk. I like Terry Edwards very much.
We would like to add a sax in our band and we need some rock bands for inspiring us.

The Climax Blues Band. Don't let the name fool you. The first couple of releases were blues, by 1973 FM LIVE was a mix and after that mostly rock with some blues mixed in. Colin Cooper played the sax.

The Collectors a late 60's band from Canada used Sax in a more unusual way. If you can hold out until 13:14 you will hear what is perhaps the most beautiful Sax solo ever on a rock recording. There is also a Flute solo earlier in the song both solos played by Claire Lawrence who is also playing Farfisa Organ.
