Goodmornig,
i need to listen some rock band with a good saxophone, somethings like Morphine or some Gallon Drunk. I like Terry Edwards very much.
We would like to add a sax in our band and we need some rock bands for inspiring us.
Any help?

Morphine was not the first ‘rock’ sax/bass/drums trio....

Most everything I'd recommend would probably be too much on the easy rock side I guess, but I would point you to Extreme's Pornofraffitti album and the two songs "Get the funk out" and "Li'l Jack Horny" Full horn sections, so not strictly just sax, but could be done with just a sax. BTW, that horn section in the video isn't the real musicians (rarely is), the guys they used on the album were top A-list studio guys and a who's who of trumpet, sax, and bone players.

Man, another one I gotta add. Not strictly sax, ok, no sax at all, but as for influence, and could be performed with a sax instead of trumpet. One of my favorite rock song endings too.

There's quite a lot of sax in R&R once you start looking for it. It really ads a retro texture to a band, and perfect for dance tunes, party bands, wedding bands, bar bands, band bands, etc. Everything except heavy metal - and its done that too.
