I forgot to mention this in my post, but you can see it in the picture. One essential piece of gear that I always use is my earplugs!
My rig has neither amp heads or cabs - a well chosen set of pedals on a board and a pair of in ears to hear myself, as all my gigs are ampless. There are two main features of this rig:two ampeg tube heads and two 810s
the rest is negotiable
1) I can hear everything much more clearly than I ever did when we had amps, wedges, etc all firing away on stage, and....
2) Load in /load out is one trip each.
much respect, but each job needs appropriate tool. your rig is well defined and purposeful for your gigs. loud-as-f**k-bleeding-ears doom-post-whatever needs different tool
And at my age, they'll all be deaf. If they think that's appropriate.....their choice, I guess. I can still hear (and play) music quite well, and I'm quite glad I took decent care of my hearing.
While I have other basses, these seem to come out more often

That's Spectors take on a traditional p Bass.... they call it an NS-1.That p bass on the left is just WOW !
