rockbass modifacato.

ok, so i have a Rockbass. really dont like that name, makes it sound cheap. anyway, its a natural ash body, and im planning on stripping the finish and planing off about a 1/4 inch off the top, and putting a zebra wood top on it. im actually planning on doing this to hopefully increase its sale value, as im probably going to part with it, i promise ill do a good job :D

any tips on how to do it?

yeah, but the placement on these is so good, and all i would have to do it drill a hole down into them, and stick a flush cut router bit down into it and go around the profile of the existing route. same with the neck pocket. i think it will really add some flare to an already great bass. its the corvette rockbass model. im actually planning on selling it to help fund a rickenbacker 4001, i really want one, but unfortunatly my situation right noe prevents me from goin for it with what i have. so im selling to fund it.

you could chamber the body while your at it. also, it might be worthwhile to line the cavities with masking tape pre glue up, so when glue drips inside them, all you will need to do, is rout as far as you can go, and rip off the tape when you can reach it, instead of trying to chip it out at an awkward angle. what is the current value of the instrument? could you put pics of how it currently is?
