    I know there are a lot of jazz guys and soloist types here (and nothing wrong with that!) - but this one's for the rockers.

    If you go after it, then show us how you get there - with a shot of your rig.

    Let's try to keep this to rock/alt rock. (Stones to RHCP) vs. pop (Stevie Nicks and Top 40 (come on, that's not rock...)) if that's possible.

    Don't really have a decnet pic of my rig around, but its a GT-6B into a Mesa 400+ (both inputs) into a Bergantino NV-610 paired with a HT-210. I'll be sure to take a shot this weekend maybe.

    rock/metal bassist here, stage/gig rig is Genz Benz GBE1200 into either an Ampeg 8x10 or Peavey 4x12. soon to be replaced with an avatar 2x12, 2x10 setup, as i'm selling the only vehicle that i own capable of hauling either one...

    We play our own brand of alt rock

    I go for a fat, bright, gritty bass tone... and this hits it to a T.

    Modulus or Zon basses
    Aguilar db750 --> aguilar 412
    Aguilar db680 --> crest CA9 --> two berg 322's

    Thats what I use most of the time but I do mix and match with all the gear I have , depending on the room/venue. I do have to say, I really like the demeter hbp-1 pre into the ag db750 into berg cabs. There is something about the db750 power section that has a tone of its own that I like.

    When I was playing REALLY loud, I used a Mesa Boogie 400+ into a Bergantino NV610. Now I'm playing a bit more moderately, I use an Aguilar AG500 into a Sadowsky SA410.
  9. Waterstone TP12 and a Yamaha BEX4 >>> Whirlwind Selector>>>

    Output 1:
    Trace V-Type pre into a 166xl to a Carvin DCM1000 to a Marshall DBS 2x12. I still have to hook up my Meyer CP10 EQ in there somewhere.

    Output 2:
    Sansamp PSA1 to a Lexicon MPX500 to a Blues Deville.

  10. Mesa Boogie Powerhouse 2x10 on top of Mesa Boogie Powerhouse 1x15 with an Orange AD200B MK3 sitting on top of them. Rick4003 and Stingray. This is what i bring to the show i play, i'm in 3 bands, all a different type of rock. each bass is for different songs in different bands.
