Hey All, I just a Rocktron Velocity 300 poweramp. So here goes my first review on TB.

I have to start with a disclaimer... this is my first rack build. It is designed to use 3rus and give me an upright(ish) bass sound. Also another cab is in order, suggestions are appreciated
For starters, I like the idea of a 1 ru poweramp, but this unit is a bit more. The Definition control essentially boosts the low mids, to help a guitar cut through a live mix. The Reactance control simulates interaction between a tube amp and a cabinet. With those at 0, my tone was right on with no extra color, with those past 2 o'clock my ears say too much is a bad thing.
Overall impressions: For my application, it does the trick. Seems a bit less powerful than a large venue would require, but for small or medium venue no problem. I love it, but I am new to gear obsession, so she is just a means to a more expensive end. Once I cool off a bit, who knows, a Crown or Peavey monsteramp might be in order.
Drawbacks?
A bit heavy for the output
I had an Ampeg that had a 'drive' knob that did a better tube simulation, but it was more like the sound of an overdriven tube amp (if that's a possible sound lol) and not an amp/cab simulator, so maybe apples to oranges.
Couldn't find one to demo in all of NM, but that's a regional gripe at most.
Pros?
Affordable ($365 on sale)
More features than other competitive models, but that could be a drawback for those looking for a straight poweramp.
