No mention of this fairly new Roland portable PA anywhere on TB. Seems like it would make a cool amp at 29 lbs, w/ four 6.5 inch speakers, but possibly not enough power. Any chance that somewhere here has played through one?

Double Bass Roland BA-330 as a DB amp?

i've been intrigued by this unit as an all purpose mini pa, but i cant possibly imagine that it would produce any fundamental below the A string.
If your bass already had some thump and you just wanted to have the slightest bit of reinforcement to hear the notes more clearly, maybe.
But if you wanted to add some beef, doubt it.
Now if somebody like phil jones had made something with 4 6 inch speakers, maybe.
there are no published specs on the speakers, and when i called and asked them last year they only mumbled vauge generalities about the "surprising" amount of bass.
probably means a bump at 100hz followed by a steep drop off?

Phil Jones does have the 4x6" Suitcase amp which actually sounds pretty good. This roland looks interesting though! I will have to check one out...
