Double Bass Ron Carter...

Don't know. I saw him a few years back at the Regatta Bar in Boston. Will always be one of my favorite live shows, along with Ray Charles and a few others.

I hope Ron gets better. He's an amazing musician.

Cancelled all his shows at Catalina Bar and Grill this weekend due to poor health. Looks like he cancelled San Francisco, too.

Anyone know the deal? Really hoping Ron's okay. I was psyched to see him play. Really puts a damper on my 4th of July weekend.

I saw him a few weeks back at the ISB convention in Rochester and he was fine. He even did an encore solo....
I also ran into him the next day up in one of the vendor's rooms and he looked fine... I talked to his wife and I told her I was amazed at his stamina for a guy in his mid 70's. She told me he visits a personal trainer 3 times a week... No wonder he can handle fast tempo's... Maybe he has a bug.

I talked with him at ISB the day after his concert and he seemed to be in great health for a man his age. Wishing him well.
