I had the first half of the treatment and the whole deal will hopefully be over in the next appointment on Tuesday. The actual procedure was painless, but right now the tooth hurts like hell. The dentist said that my roots are a nightmare: narrow and curved. He had to take extra care in order to avoid stuff breaking in there.

Anyone having experience with this sort of thing know if alcohol consumption would help the painkillers along? :D

Thats hardly what Id call a painkiller, though it is one. Paracetamol is acetaminophen, basically Tylenol, to varying degrees of strength. If its over the counter stuff its probably not too strong (does nothing for me).
Im not condoning anything here, but a few drinks might help in its effectiveness.

My roots are the same as yours... my dentist sent me to an oral surgeon he didn't have the tools to do it. She was amazed that i didn't ask for more local. I thought it was going to hurt some going in... so I just took some "discomfort"... i got by on tylenol and advil afterwards. But the doc had me take more than i usually would.

you will be fine... now if you were taking a narcotic prescription different story... you'd probably be asleep right now.

bwaaahahahahaha... take the first part of my post out of this context and... well... just doesn't sound right.


Someone who isn't me said alcohol did help but his special caramels helped more. ;)

I would never call Tylenol a pain killer, as it lacks any opiate/opioid compounds. However, Tylenol (aka APAP) should not be mixed with alcohol long-term. APAP is not good on your liver at all. Alcohol doesn't help. You might as well stop taking that APAP and stick with some vodka!

Or get some Norcos...

That's exactly what I'd do. BTW - Three Olives Cake Vodka = awesome.
